Registration & Teams

•Location: 1100 Maxwell Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36104.

•Participation: Teams of six people compete in head-to-head heats on the park’s 1,600-foot Olympic-standard Competition Channel. No prior rafting experience is required, as each team is paired with a professional Montgomery Whitewater guide.

•Purpose: The event serves as a fundraiser for the Montgomery Whitewater Foundation, supporting outdoor programs and community access.

•Atmosphere: Beyond the races, the day typically features a festival environment with live music, food vendors, and a "VIP tent" for participating teams.

•Run Paddle Run Adventure Race: Starts at 9:00 AM. This multi-discipline race includes a 1.5-mile run, a 2,200-foot paddle in inflatable kayaks ("duckies"), and a final 1.5-mile run.

•Lil' Tri Kids Triathlon: A fun, kid-friendly triathlon for ages 6–11 featuring a flatwater paddle, bike ride, and run.

•All Forward Raft Race: Generally follows the morning adventure races, with past heat times starting around 1:30 PM.

•Team Entry: In previous years, the entry fee for a six-person corporate or club team has been approximately $1,000, which includes all equipment, t-shirts, and access to the VIP area.

•Individual Races: Registration for the Run Paddle Run is typically open until the day before the event (April 24) for a fee of approximately $35–$38.
